I have always enjoyed good old fashion "Fast Food". However, with health becoming a growing concern for the world, I realize how important it is to eat smart. So for those rare occasions where you just crave FAST FOOD, you better try this place...

First of all, sorry for lagging. Last month was a super busy month for me, and I have a lot of catch up to do. I spent another week in New York ,earlier this month, and have some cool stuff to talk about.

The first is about my new favorite Burger Joint. It is located at 678 6th Ave in Chealsea NYC. It is named simply the "NEW YORK BURGER CO."

Now up until this trip to NY I had a special place in my heart for "IN-N-OUT BURGER". Growing up in Southern California, and having lived there for over 20 years I had always enjoyed IN-N-OUT, over any other fast food. I still believe, (especially for those that have not had the pleasure of tasting their food), that they have the best fries, and that they have an unmistakable, signature flavor to their burgers that I have yet to experience elsewhere! They also use real icecream for their shakes and they are just too good!

However, having always been a picky eater growing up, I tended not to branch out and try unique foods and other strange combinations. As I have gotten older I have realized what I missed out on all those years, and now enjoy most anything...especially the unique, or strange combinations. The NEW YORK BURGER CO. is --as I hinted at earlier-- not a replacement for IN-N-OUT, but as far as burgers go, we have a new champion!

This was my favorite sandwhich, and if I was in a really good mood, I added extra blue cheese, bacon, avocado and a large side of horse raddish sauce, WOW! The two prices listed show the sandwhich itself, and then as they say " The Big Deal", which is their unique way of saying "Combo Meal". I also recommend to wash it down with rootbeer, staying true to the old time tatse they have. Don't forget to grab some fresh red onions, and be sure also, to get a side of "spicy ketup", for the fries, which are all available at their toppings bar.

So next time you are in Chealsea, be sure to stop by the NEW YORK BURGER CO. on 6th. Oh, and by the way, give yourself plenty of time, as you wont want to rush this fast food. ENJOY!

Are you sure you only ordered one? OR was it more like two or three and a rootbeer?

Either way sounds like a great place to grab a burger!

I can attest to how great this place is! I ate there twice when we last visited New York. There are even yummy healthy options, if you are a health nut, like sweet potato fries and a Mediterranean veggie burger that is to die for!
